Rocky Mountain Flute Choir Logo
A new logo was requested from some friendly musicians at the RMFC. The task was to develop multiple logos and present them to the group and determine a final cut version. The above logo came in first out of the series. The creation of the series would play out in a few steps. Adobe Illustrator CS4 was the tool of choice.

The first step would be thumbnail concepts. |

The general idea was to be simple, fun, motivating. Mixing the flute idea with the mountains. After a good round of rough thumbs, it was time to go more into detail on some of the top thumb picks.
The second step would gather feedback from the group and continue with a more finalized version to work from.

The logo above ranked second of the top ranked logos in the series. Interesting enough, the thumbnail of this logo ranked dead last in the thumbnail preview. The thumbnail of the logo above received so many negatives from the group, that it was just crying out for attention. A second version was made because of how much it caught peoples eye.

More logos of the series were added. Experimenting with shapes, color theory, font type, outline style, and other odds and ends. This allowed more options and gave the group more variety in theme.
