Project NetDevil
This model was created and rendered in 3D Studio Max. Details to the model were done in Zbrush. Metal Ray was used with photometric lighting. Photoshop was used for each texture map.

The environment lighting is almost pitch black. A light source was needed for the eye to have a reflective glow. As well a light source for the tip of the tentacle used to lore in prey. Additional point lights were added inside the eye and the tip of the tentacle.

The eyes, teeth, and body were all imported into Zbrush as individual groups. Shown below are the base colors for the texture map which were painted in Zbrush. Additional details and other work were done in Photoshop.

Early renders were done to get the general idea of form and style. The eye and tentacle tip originally were setup with a illuminessence glow.

Later versions did not seem to match with the glow effect. Revisions to the eye and other portions of the model were done for a more realism look.
